We enjoyed the large, light living area with ample comfortable seating for our family group. We liked the way that the living area extends outside so easily, allowing us access to walking and viewing the passing parade of wildlife and the national park next door. The house design allows for quiet sleeping separated from living areas. It is well set up but without a coffee maker. A most enjoyable stay
Wonderful place for a relaxed and comfortable stay. House is quite spacious including all kitchen appliances, living areas and bedrooms. TV should be replaced by smart tv and wifi should be included. Given its capacity, extra toilet rolls and towels should be made available for comfortable stay based on the number of nights and guests in the house. Otherwise it is a great place with quite and serene ambient for relaxed holidays while exploring grampians and halls gap area.
Great space, great location right on to the walking tracks. Plenty of space to hang out inside if the weather turns bad too.
A wonderful house in an amazing setting. Loved everything about our weekend away and will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much.
The location of Parkview West is excellent. Our walking group of 15 booked both Parkview North and West. Both accommodations have a good layout that work well for large groups. West only has one bathroom and toilet. The second bathroom/toilet is an ensuite. The West does have a nice outlook towards the bush and the kangaroos certainly visit every day. It’s within easy walking to the shops and many walking tracks Fyans Creek, Venus Baths or the Chatauqua Peak. On our visit there was a shortage of cereal bowls. Certainly worth booking again.
We had a wonderful stay in this house. I had relatives staying with me from the Czech Republic and this was the highlight of their trip. The kangaroos around the house and on the oval were amazing. We went on many walks and also saw emus, as well as kangaroos and lizards! The Halls Gap zoo was also a great place to visit. The shops in town were lovely. The house itself was great - plenty of room and big windows, walking trails directly from the house - perfect for an extended family!
Awesome time spent. We loved it absolutely 💯
We stayed here for 2 nights & wish we had stayed for me. Lovely house in a lovely setting. The local native animals were a treat to see grazing around the house. Only a short walk into town where the shops were cute. Restaurants were great. We ate in the Kookaburra hotel & Halls Gap hotel both were delicious & good choice for food. I wld recommend booking a table if possible to both as both were busy.
We have stayed in all of the Parkview houses over the years as a family and have enjoyed the location of the houses, the visiting wildlife, campfires, easy access to the town and walking trails etc. Parkview West does need a bit of a going over however. A few things were lacking (such as decent wine glasses and pegs in the laundry) Several things I felt needed brushing up on or were inadequate for the amount we paid for the weekend which included a cleaning fee. We have however made many happy family memories at the Parkview Houses and for that I am eternally grateful.
Our group thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Parkview West. The house is spacious and well equipped. The kitchen lounge and dining room is massive and there's an indoor wood heater plus a split system so we were nice and cosy. The outdoor campfire was used nightly and the visiting wildlife (kangaroos, emu, tawny frogmouth owl) were plentiful! We were able to walk from the back door up the hill and into the Grampians walking trails. The walk or ride to the Halls Gap shops was only a few hundred metres so very accessible. The area was quiet and we would definitely stay here again.
