Indulge in the charm of Piccolo Retreat, nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac overlooking the neighbouring picturesque farmland. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the mountain range from the expansive kitchen, fully equipped with modern conveniences, including a dishwasher and electric stove top. Marvel at the panoramic views through the large window, where kangaroos and wildlife often grace the National Park landscape and relax around the newly built outdoor firepit area or cook and eat outside with the gas bbq and solid outdoor table and chairs. There is even a half court basketball court!
The dining area, accommodating six guests, makes self-catering a breeze. In the cozy living area, a plush lounge and wood-burning fireplace create the perfect ambiance as well as a smart TV connected to the Wifi where you can use the Apple TV to watch your favourite streaming channels.
Discover comfort in the Master Bedroom with a queen bed, ensuite, and walk-in robe. The second bedroom boasts a queen bed, while the third offers two single beds – all with built-in robes. All three bedrooms have their own wall split system reverse cycle air conditioner for year round comfort.

Nice place with everything needed
We stayed 3 nights with our 2 boys and Grand-Mother. The place had everything needed and lots of books and toys. Our boys loved the basketball court and having a ball supplied was a plus! The views are really nice, we saw lots of kangaroos and emus every day. The short drive into town is handy too. And the place is nice and quiet. Our bed was not very comfortable, the mattress sinking in a bit. In the other room, half of the cupboard (with the shelf) was full of bedding so we couldn't put any clothes on it. Finally it would be handy having an umbrella or a bit of an undercover area outside. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thanks!
Peaceful setting and close to town
Stayed 8 nights - a very comfortable house. Superb outlook with lots of kangaroos and emus, lovely birds. Loved the peace and quiet yet close to town via a walking track or a short drive. House is newish so landscaping etc yet to be completed - be aware there is no garage or carport and no cover over patio and BBQ currently. Beds were comfortable and always plenty of hot water. Main bathroom really needs more than the one towel rail but everything else was good. Would recommend.
Superb Rural Setting
We loved our stay at Piccolo Retreat, the house was beautifully appointed, we loved the views and the wildlife being so nearby. The log burner was perfect on a cool winters night. Close to everything at Halls Gap. Lots of lovely little touches, board games, stocked essentials in the larder, bbq. We highly recommend.

Halls Gap Haven.
Enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay. The house was very clean and comfortable. The views were beautiful and we enjoyed our daily kangaroo visitors. The location of the property was excellent with the pub just a 5 minute walk up the road. Halls Hap was an easy stroll via a pathway. We are looking forward to our next visit to Piccolo Retreat already.
Travelling with Friends
We stayed with another couple and the house was great with plenty of space and two bathrooms. The place was well-stocked with towels, blankets, cooking equipment, firewood, etc. A dryer would have been useful but the fireplace or air conditioner still dried most of our clothes overnight. The house was warm even in the middle of winter. Previous issues with access now resolved and we used the key for entry throughout our stay.

Overall, an enjoyable 3 night stay. Our main gripe was to do with access to the property. The electronic device used to enter and exit is completely unreliable. Having been locked out on a cold and wet day. We eventually gained access to the keysafe containing the emergency key. It would be helpful to supply this emergency code in the first instance as well as instructions on how to lock the door electronically when exiting.
Family get together
Well laid out house, very comfy and warm (great insulation). Fabulous views out over pastures to waterfalls, and lots of kangaroos, emus and deer. Some issues with electronic lock but we found keys in drawer in kitchen. Some more info about the property and instructions would be useful. Great to have a washing machine but no dryer or clothes line (a small hanging rack inside). Kitchen is good size but not well stocked/provisioned for basics. Quiet location, easy walk to town, and a great local pub (good food). Thank you for our enjoyable stay.
Hiking reunion
A very clean place with well equipped kitchen. Perhaps have some bowls for breakfast or soups. Moccona instant coffee nice. Need dish drying tray please. Great location close to the Pub. Can walk there! Views of kangaroos and emus. Highly recommended for family also. Roomy for 6 adults. Very helpful and fast response when we had minor problem with the smart lock. Need some adjustment to lock door when exiting. Windows are all locked but keys in the drawer. No complains. Thanks Janet.
