Whether you’re looking for a peaceful country escape, a pet-friendly getaway or the perfect base for exploring the Grampians, Tanglewood Cottage offers a relaxed Halls Gap stay surrounded by nature, wildlife and beautiful mountain scenery.

Pets are welcome, and the cottage features a purpose-built, fully fenced dog run in the backyard, giving your four-legged companion a secure space to enjoy during your stay. The enclosure includes both covered and open-air areas, providing shelter when needed as well as plenty of fresh air.

Step outside onto the deck or into the garden and enjoy wonderful views across the surrounding landscape, with kangaroos, deer and native birdlife regular visitors. It’s a lovely spot for a morning coffee, an afternoon BBQ or a glass of wine as the sun goes down.

Inside, the western red cedar cottage is warm, comfortable and well equipped for couples, families and groups of friends. The living area is a welcoming place to relax after a day exploring, with a slow-combustion wood heater for cosy winter evenings and a wall-mounted split-system providing reverse-cycle heating and cooling.

The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare anything from a quick breakfast to a family feast, while outside you’ll find a gas BBQ and fire pit for relaxed outdoor cooking and evenings under the stars (BYO wood).

Tanglewood Cottage accommodates up to eight guests across three bedrooms. The sleeping arrangements include two queen beds, a single bed and a queen/single bunk bed. Built-in robes are provided in all bedrooms and a portacot is also available. Linen, towels, pillows, doonas and blankets are supplied for your stay.

After a day spent walking, exploring or discovering everything the Grampians has to offer, come home and unwind in the double spa bath, settle in beside the wood fire or simply enjoy the peace and quiet of your surroundings.

With many of Halls Gap’s attractions and activities accessible on foot, you can leave the car behind and head out to explore, then return to the comfort and tranquillity of your own private cottage.
